Art Monday Post: FROG

Frogger At Home

Ah, the domestic life of 80's video games. Surely someone has explored this premise before, but it made me happy to draw a frog with his version of Homer Simpson's "D'oh!" Notice how he borrows some of his buddy Qbert's foul language.

16 Topics from Billy Bob's Diner: Topic #3

Whoops! Almost missed the weekly installment I promised. Here it goes!

Granted, "Click" is now not the most timely of movies to choose, but 2-1/2 years ago, it was spot on! To update it, maybe I could say, "Old Dogs" or "Did You Hear About The Morgans"....

Illustration Friday: HATCH

This is from an experience while waiting in line for Santa this past weekend. The word "hatch" made me laugh in this context. Why a deaf Mrs. Santa you ask?,...I think she was just the one with the outfit.

My Daughter's Hierarchy of Needs

She's a daddy's girl,...what can I say? I failed to give a shout out to Momma B. who is doing a great job keeping up with the child. And she's recently become a huge fan of ribbons,...which is really cute to watch. Oh, my little fiber artist!

Illustration Friday: CRUNCHY

It's like having a small bag of rocks grinding around by your ear all the time. So when I hear the word "crunchy" I immediately think of that. Good times.

Art Monday Post: Elves - the exploited worker of our time

Their benefits are terrible and don't even think about a bonus, being in manufacturing in THIS economy,...
but I hear most get into it for the summers off.

16 Topics from Billy Bob's Diner: Topic #2

Okay, so I've since learned that the term "midgets" is highly offensive to little people. My apologies if you are a vertically-challenged citizen. However, I love your pickles. Thank you.

Illustration Friday: MUSIC

Okay, so I missed the actual deadline for this one, but I had this idea right away and wanted to see it through. Didn't get to it til this weekend.

I'm not sure I can convey how I feel when I listen to the right song,...but I honestly feel like I can dance like the kids on So You Think You Can Dance. I see it all in my head, the choreography is nuts.

This is my interpretation of "entangled".
Reason #863 why I don't skinny dip.....

16 Topics from Billy Bob's Diner: Topic #1

This is a comic that is a couple of years old, back when my hair was long, before I was a Mom, and when Ed and I actually went out to eat ALL THE TIME. We would go to this funny silver diner every weekend and have very deep meaningful conversations. So I did this comic (all 24 pages) during a 24-hour comic challenge. It was the last time I stayed up 24 hours until I was in labor. And I'm still convinced this one was WAY harder on the body. No drugs were used while making this one. AND there were guys playing Magic the Gathering all night long beside me. Do you know how many times I had to listen to Weird Al Yankovich's "White and Nerdy"?

FYI, Billy Bob's is a real place. Visit them sometime at Billy Bob's Silver Diner! Anyhoo, I'll dole these out in installments on a weekly basis. Please do enjoy.....
